In the industrial driven culture of the 1960's men and women of the working class live lives of quiet desperation. They go to monotonous jobs that absorb their energies and oppress their imaginations. My collection is an expression of the wandering human imagination. A human longs for safety and shelter, but feels alive though adventure. The tent bridges those two worlds of physical safety and the need for exploration. It also represents the human body, which shelters the spontaneous nature of the soul, which roams freely when the sun shines again.
