MDK - Miranda Kaloudis is a Zurich based independent fashion design label creating product oriented all season apparel & accessory collections for urban nomads. The setup of a product is reflected, deconstructed and put together new. Apparel and accessories often merge into hybrids, upgrading the body, thus raising the wearing comfort. Underneath the minimalistic & geometrical design there is always a playful usability to be found. Nature and geometry are steadily an inspiration for the construction and the shapes. Equally important to the future orientated design, is the selection of high quality materials. Technical and waterproof fabrics face high quality leathers and cottons. Nature versus technology, past versus future. Apparent oppositions clash during the design process, forming a futuristic aesthetic. The outcome has a concisely urban, clean and avantgardistic look.
