About Me

La Petite Mort or « the little death » is an old French expression once used to refer to the female orgasm, a short moment of ecstasy; but in fact it is much more. It is a state of mind, free of desire, need, joy or pain. It is full liberation, no boundaries.

This is what inspired this young streetwear project, which aims to break away from fashion trends and society’s overconsumption; it’s all about going minimal, ease and comfort are the premises. Following this logic, the brand proposes small unisex collections composed by essential pieces of streetwear. Born under the principles of circular economy, it uses organic fibers only. By avoiding the blend with synthetics, all pieces are compostable and will be able to disappear at the end of their operational life causing no harm and lesser waste for the landfills.

Created by a Peruvian expat based in Paris, the brand aims to mark a distance with cultural stereotypes and ethnic clichés while trying to acknowledge South American natural heritage. A fine but long run balancing act. This is why we work with the finest organic fibers from the region, like pima cotton and alpaca, but also focus on communicating the historic content behind these materials and the ecofriendly qualities they hold. Furthermore, we tell the stories of our manufacturers, all female entrepreneurs in the outskirts of Lima.
