About Me

Iyanu is a London based Textile Designer and a walking personification of her work whose signature print draws influence from her Nigerian roots and British influence. Her natural instinct in design infiltrates her work, resulting in an exciting combination of graphics, composition and colours. Her designs have a unique identifiable signature. This is exemplified in all her work, whether it’s her prints, knit, photography or illustrations; all are full of character, personality, energy and dedication. A true embodiment of her.
She successfully completed a BA(Hons) in Textiles (2013) and was selected for ‘The Cass School of Art & Design postgraduate scholarship where she completed a Masters degree in Fashion & Textiles (2014). During her educational design development, she won ‘Hedonism Award’ and ‘Best in Show’ at the graduate exhibition.
IYA₦U (e.yah.nu) is her emerging transcultural brand; designed to rebel against the traditional style of prints whilst infusing colour explosions & disruption and bringing it into modern expressions.
IYA₦U debuted its first collection ‘YOUTH’ in Lagos, Nigeria, 2018.
In 2020, the brand was selected to debut with ON|OFF presents at London Fashion Week.
IYA₦U continues to push boundaries by fluidly merging cultural juxtapositions through a vivid backdrop of colours and prints.
IYA₦U. Made for the unconventional.
