About The Collection
“All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery, “Le Petit Prince” (“The Little Prince”).
On 2nd of February, ROUSSIN presented its FW 20-21 collection during Ukrainian Fashion Week.
The models on the catwalk turned into Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the author of “The Little Prince”, drawing on the wall pictures of a lamb, a boa, that swallowed an elephant, the Little Prince, and into characters who spoiled the created images.
The performance was complemented by musical accompaniment. From all the JBLs, provided by the acoustic partner of the brand - CITRUS, came sounds of the city, cars, conversations, which were superimposed on the pure sound of nature, that reflect the influence of people and the material things they created on the planet and on themselves. With age, people submit to the material world, lose all spiritual qualities and begin to exist meaninglessly, and not live. They forget that they were once children, they forget how to see with their hearts.
The fashion show is a modern interpretation of “The Little Prince”, which deeply reveals the theme of the corruption of the inner world, adult “diseases” and spiritual thirst. At the same time, characters of this book are traced in the images of models. The masks and balaclavas used in the collection are a way to cover naked soul of grown-ups, or preserve its remains.
The FW 20-21 collection, like the previous collections of the brand, was made using reflective materials for road safety: hoodies, pants, caps and jackets with reflective parts, reflective jackets and ties, belts from reflective paracord, reflective sweaters and balaclavas. Some items of the collection are handprinted with black textile paint from a spray can. Looks were supplemented with glasses 69_eyewear.
