Christian Pellizzari fw22/23
ILLUSION
The Christian Pellizzari Fall-Winter 22-23 collection is a subtle exercise of the power of the illusion: not deception, but the discovery of how every appearance can change into its opposite. Forms, style and details that seduce with an invitation to overcome the first impression and to tell a story of elegant contradictions.
On jackets and coats you can see laces that allude to the shapes of a corset and suggest a more intimate relationship with the body. An illusory and amused nod to the "sur mesure" that makes the outside and the inside into a continuous dialogue.
Furs are sustainable, made from voluptuous wool and alpaca. The same materials then reappear on the cuffs of the wool tweed jackets, which are barely referring to the 80s, before showing a more glam and contemporary soul in the filigree lurex threads.
Formal and sporty play in exchanging suggestions through jacquard knitwear and draped animalier printed velvet dresses. Deep-necked mesh sweaters allude to instant simplicity, but are soon transformed into garments of sensual provocation thanks to the intricate work of micro sequins that draw their illusory geometry.
The silk blouses and evening dresses complete the collection with unique pieces that play on the fine line of misperception between day wear and night wear.
About Me
Christian Pellizzari started designing and sewing clothes at a very young age and dedicated his life to cultivate his passion and pursue his dreams while continuing to express his creativitythrough clothes.
He moved to Florence where he studied at Polimoda, after completing his academic studies he flies to London to continue his research.
He dedicates himself in particular to the world of classic men's tailoring,
where he has learned the techniques and proportions of outerwear and has nourished his passion for tailored jackets for men and women, casual and formal. He then moved to Paris, in order to broaden his experience,
where he enriches his knowledge and his approach to fashion in various ateliers, learning the differences of French design compared to the Italian one. After two seasons at the prestigious VIONNET maison (Paris), Christian works at JAY AHR (Paris). The idea of creating a men's wardrobe with his name was born in Paris. As a young designer on the international scene, he achieves his goal of starting his own label by launching the CHRISTIAN PELLIZZARI brand. Finalist of Who is on Next and of the prestigious WOOLMARK prize in Antwerp, he was chosen by Mr. Giorgio Armani among the new emerging designers, to show his collection in his theater as a recognition of his talent. The CHRISTIAN PELLIZZARI collection is in about 40 boutiques around the worldwide he collaborates for others luxury brands .
