About Me
Nicolas Cerrutti, a fashion designer from Berlin with Italian and Uruguayan/Spanish roots, commenced his fashion journey by undergoing vocational training in textile design and tailoring at Mediencollege in Berlin. Following his completion of tailoring school, Nicolas chose to further enrich his knowledge at the AMFI Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
During his vocational training, Nicolas undertook an inspiring internship in Amsterdam with designer Ninamounah. This transformative experience ignited his passion for the city, prompting his return after concluding his training in Berlin as a tailor. Despite initially enrolling in university, Nicolas opted to discontinue his studies due to a lack of novel learning experiences.
Upon returning to Berlin, Nicolas founded his own brand, focusing on tailored pieces, demi-couture, handbags, and jewelry. His journey also led him to Egypt, where he established a studio producing unique, high-quality jewelry and ready-to-wear pieces. Nicolas seamlessly melds European tradition with a Middle Eastern touch, drawing inspiration from ambiguity and his fondness for undiscovered places, such as sharing tea in the desert with Bedouin tribes or a night out in the city.
At the heart of Nicolas's designs lies exquisite tailoring, well-constructed patterns, and the artful combination of soft and hard fabrics with mixed textures. Some designs feature integrated jewelry pieces, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The creations embrace a storytelling approach, often incorporating sheerness and body-fitting silhouettes.
In essence, ANC's fashion narrative underscores its commitment to craftsmanship, individuality, and sustainability, transcending the traditional path through a tailored and hands-on approach to design.
