this is alexander the great!
alexander the great is maybe the most famous figures of ancient greece and ancient history. being the king of macedon for only 13 short years he led a massive military campaigns that made greek culture the dominant culture of all the ancient world-from the middle east to india. after his death Hellenistic culture continued to dominant the ancient world for about 300 hundreds years.
coinage of alexander depicted the image of alexander as hercules, wearing lion skin that according to greek myth was killed by hercules with his own bare hands. those coins are found today all over what was the Hellenistic world. i carefully clean them, plate them in a thin protective layer, and mount it in my jewelry. those are unique and one of a kind items that has a long history and unique story behind it!

About Me
I have been working with antiquities all my life. I started dealing with ancient coins in Israel and I have continued selling coins professionally in the US since 1997. At my studio in Berkeley, CA, I use some of my coins in jewelry, designing and creating the jewelry around the coin and carefully setting the coin into the piece. A lot of care and attention is put into preserving and displaying the coin in its original condition during the setting of the coin into jewelry. I sell most of my coin jewelry at juried art shows during the weekend.
